LAUREN & MARTIN GELLER
and their daughter
MARIN

Lauren and Martin Geller were JDRF supporters well before 2012 when their daughter, Marin, was diagnosed with type one diabetes (T1D) at the age of seven. They immediately became fully invested in many of our organization's efforts, and now serve as supporters and leaders in the JDRF community for the New York City/Long Island Chapter. Lauren became a Board Member in 2012 and family members have supported JDRF's efforts by participating in walk-a-thons and biking events across the country, including the Death Valley Ride to Cure Diabetes and several Five Boro Bike Tours. Lauren and Marin initiated Comedy for a Cause, a fundraiser in the Hamptons, which has brought diabetes awareness to the Hamptons, as well as raised more than $200,000 for JDRF over the past two years. Moreover, the Gellers are investors in the T1D Fund and are fully committed to supporting T1D research.
Marin, herself, is passionate about diabetes advocacy and her entrepreneurial spirit led her to form and trademark Flyabetes, an organization that supports all of her fundraising efforts. Marin is looking forward to serving as a New York delegate to the JDRF 2019 Children's Congress this summer in Washington, D.C.
In addition to the Gellers' commitment and engagement in the diabetes community, Lauren is a founding member of the Manhattan Women's Division of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), an Executive Board member of the Women's International Zionist Organization (WIZO) and an Advisory Board member of the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY). She led her own retail consultancy firm for more than a decade.
Martin is the Founder and CEO of Geller & Company, a firm which provides strategic and operational CFO services to a wide range of U.S. and multi-national companies and not for profit organizations. Geller & Company also provides integrated wealth management services including investment management, tax and estate planning to an array of high-net-worth individuals, families and philanthropic organizations. Martin is a Board member of Bloomberg L.P. and the Bloomberg Bureau of National Affairs, and is active in the greater New York business community. He is a limited partner of the Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment company whose assets include the Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center. The non-profit boards on which Martin sits include: the American Israel Education Foundation, the New York Police and Fire Widow's and Children's Benefit Fund, the Northeast Regional Council for the National Parks Conservation Association and the Northeast Regional Leadership Cabinet of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Martin was also a member of the advisory board of the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City from 2003 to 2013.
Together, Lauren and Martin are members of the Americas Foundation of the Serpentine Galleries in London, England.
Lauren and Martin live in Manhattan with their five children where they are active leaders, supporting the New York City philanthropic, arts and educational communities.
