“This fund was originally established in 2014 to honor Joan Levy Gerard, and Susan Levy Pollack was added in 2022, to honor their commitment to a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D). Two very important women in my life who helped me grow into the individual I am today. Joan and Susan hoped to see a cure for T1D during their lifetime... not only for Brett, but for all those affected by the disease. To date, more than $400,000 has been raised in Joan’s and Susan's memory to support T1D research. Because of this generous support we have seen key advances in the treatment, prevention and ultimately, cure for T1D.” – David

Donations are 100% tax-deductible and will will be invested in Breakthrough T1D's effective and focused research agenda aimed to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until there is a cure.
